Get the sweetest feeling with the latest issue of Oral Health

on 24th December 2018

Have you received your copy of the November/December issue of Oral Health yet?

As another year draws to a close, we at Oral Health are going out on a high!

We’ve just returned from what can only be described as another epic Oral Health Awards. Being in the presence of so many leaders of prevention was truly inspiring, and yet again, we’re delighted to have been able to celebrate the work of the profession.

A roundup of the afternoon (and the full list of Oral Health Awards winners and highly commended entries), can be found here.

Plans are already underway for next year’s awards and they are sure to be bigger and better than ever – so be sure to keep your eyes on Oral Health for all the latest news!

That’s not all we’ve got in this issue, either. We can also reveal the winner of our Dental Check by One poster competition, supported by Brush-Baby.

We were over the moon to receive so many entries. What’s more, the messages we received in support of the initiative were heart-warming – it was really inspiring to see so many people getting behind this valuable initiative. Thank you to everyone who participated and got in touch.

The winning practice is about to receive a luxury hamper to share among the team, as well as a year’s worth of Brush-Baby products to pass onto patients. Find out here if you’re the lucky winner!

With the end of another year approaching, it’s a perfect time to look back and appraise where we’ve been and what we’ve done.

Indeed, it’s certainly been a busy year for oral health and dentistry, with headlines hitting the news about the sugar tax, antibiotic prescribing in dentistry and HPV vaccinations.

No one can predict the future (sorry, Mystic Meg fans), but while we don’t know for sure what 2019 will bring, I have my suspicions that it’s going to be just as hectic (Brexit, anyone?).

But it’s not all doom and gloom! One of the things I love most about this time of year is the anticipation. A new year beckons, and it’s full of unrealised possibility (not to mention ample opportunity for personal or professional development). To me, that’s an irresistibly romantic notion.

As I’m sure Oral Health readers have come to expect, we have exciting plans for the title in 2019. And, as always, they involve you, so watch this space!
